Mark Hopkins Sculptures

Mark Hopkins Bio

Mark Hopkins is an amazingly prolific sculptor who has done several large-scale commissions for schools and government buildings in the South, notably in the states of Georgia and Alabama. He is well known for his fragmented bronze sculptures depicting wildlife, Native American subjects, and children at play. Like most of his work, First Buffalo is done in bronze using the traditional lost-wax method. Several years ago, the BronzeWorks newsletter published a series of articles describing this bronze casting process. Please click the link to read more.
